2021年是中国越剧表演艺术家徐玉兰女士诞辰100周年，在她阳历诞辰日12月27日的前一天，“追忆如斯，百年徐派”纪念越剧宗师徐玉兰百年诞辰全球网络追思活动在杭州举行，全球越剧爱好者相聚网络，共同回顾并开启越剧徐派艺术的下一个传承时代。活动得到热烈响应，并通过全球连线直播。徐玉兰女士是中国越剧的一位杰出代表，她的流派唱腔、人格魅力和舞台形象，为越剧艺术增添了深厚的人文气息。在她的百年诞辰之际，杭州“越剧之家”微信公众平台特别策划此次网络纪念活动，并得到上海文化发展基金会徐玉兰文化艺术专项基金、富阳区文广旅体局等单位的支持，以及徐玉兰家属和全球戏迷的热烈响应。
12月26日下午，在“越剧之家”影像越剧馆内， 越劇界專家學者、表演藝術家、 越劇傳人以及 徐 玉蘭 家鄉 富陽 的 代表 與 全球 各 地 越劇 愛好者 同 聚 網路，以 名 家 訪談、演唱、網絡雲端連線 等 形式 開展 活動。活動分為 “ 百 年 玉 蓝, 藝 術 人 生 ”、“ 徐 派 唱 腔, 蘭 韵 隽 永 ”、“ 桃 李 芳 香, 名 揚 四 海 ” 和 “ 富 春 越 夢, 情 系 家 鄉 ” 四 個 篇章，以 特別 的 方式 追憶 徐 玉蘭。
浙江之声知名主播王斌担任主持，“越劇之家.錢塘戲苑”平台全程直播。眾人或在主會場，或視頻連線共同追憶 Xu Yulan . Xu Yulan's son A Yu Xiaomin attended the event via video link and delivered a speech on behalf of the Shanghai Cultural Development Fund Xu Yulan Cultural Arts Special Fund. He said that his mother had dedicated her life to the art of Yueju Opera and had established the Yueju Opera Xu School Art Style. As descendants, they have a responsibility to inherit and develop Yueju Opera.
Yueju Opera historian and national first-class director Zhong Ye Ping recalled Xu Yulan's artistic life. He said that Ms. Xu loved Yueju Opera and was humble in her pursuit of fame. Such noble character traits are worth learning from.
Representatives from the Richang area remembered Ms. Xu's concern for Richang Yueju Opera troupe development and care for the school style.
The district cultural affairs department introduced that in recent years, Richang has been committed to inheriting and developing Mr.Xu’s school style by continuing his spirit quality through various activities such as organizing a national invitation competition for fans of Mr.Xu’s school style play performances , holding forums on inheriting & developing Mr.Xu’s school style theatre arts etc., thus gaining attention from all circles.
For celebrating 100th anniversary of Ms.Yuan Yu Lan birthdate ,Richang District Government together with Shanghai Culture Development Fund -Mr.Yuan Yu Lan Culture Arts Special Fund launched various commemorative events including symphony "Dreams at Red Chamber" , rich folk artists' invitation contest on traditional songs & dances based on Mr.Xu's works , online fashion show featuring classic characters from traditional plays etc.. which were warmly welcomed by fans around world.
Xu School disciples such as Xiu Jingyi,Zhou Yan,Qian Hui Li,Zheng Guofeng,Zhang Xiao Jun,Wu Yinan,Zhang Yuanlan,Wang Pai disciple Zhou Yunjuan participated either at main venue or network video live streaming platform expressing their feelings about Ms.Yuan Yu Lan & performing classic pieces selected by them.The live streaming continued for over two hours before it ended with Zhang Aiyan singing "Ode to Orchids".
