在一个潮湿而阴冷的傍晚，年轻的小说家李明 sits down at his desk, staring blankly at the wall as he tries to come up with a new idea for his novel. He has been struggling with writer's block for weeks now, and the pressure from his publisher is mounting. Suddenly, an old book falls off the shelf behind him, landing on his lap with a thud. It is an ancient tome bound in black leather, adorned with strange symbols that seem to shimmer in the dim light of his study.
As he opens the book, he finds himself transported to a world unlike anything he has ever seen before. The sky is a deep shade of purple, and the trees are taller than any he has ever seen. A figure approaches him from out of nowhere - it is an old man dressed in traditional Chinese clothing.
"Who are you?" Li asks nervously.
"I am your guide," replies the old man simply. "You have been chosen to embark on a journey through time and space."
Li hesitates for a moment before nodding agreement.
The first stop on their journey is ancient China during the Han Dynasty. They witness great battles between rival warlords and see firsthand how life was lived back then.
Next they travel to medieval Europe where they observe knights fighting dragons and peasants tilling their fields by hand.
Finally they arrive in modern-day New York City where they marvel at towering skyscrapers and bustling streets filled with people from all over the world.
