《越剧奇缘:吴翼编导王老虎抢亲大戏》
在浙江余姚泗门镇的悠久历史中,1916年诞生了一位名叫吴翼的人物,他不仅是一个男孩,更是一位将来会在越剧舞台上留下深刻印记的编导。1938年,在上虞县电厂他开始了他的学徒生涯,这段经历虽然平凡,但却为他后来的道路打下了坚实的基础。
1941年,吴翼踏上了演艺之路,他加入了上海华艺业余话剧团,与那些有志青年一起表演话剧。然而,当时期的政治动荡迫使他返回故乡,担任马渚区政府文化教员。这一角色虽小,却为他提供了更多与戏曲接触的机会。
谢汝昌的一次介绍,让吴翼走进了浙东根据地四明山浙东行政公署社会教育工作队。在这里,他不仅担任戏剧股长,还兼职导演,为民间职业越剧团、高升舞台排练节目。在“三五支队”北撤之后,黄源同志又引荐他到上海兰心大戏院工作,从此进入专业领域。
解放后的上海,对于吴翼来说,是一次新的起点。他参加了上海第一届地方戏曲研究班,并成为第三队队长。在随后的岁月里,他先后担任杭州民艺越剧团、南京长江越劇團、苏州市越劇團等单位的编导。1955年,他被调往南昌市越劇團,在那里度过了许多精彩而充实的一天。

Wu Yi, a man born in 1916 in Yuyao, Zhejiang Province, began his apprenticeship at an electric factory in Upper Ou County in 1938. He later joined the Shanghai Hua Yi Amateur Drama Troupe and performed in plays before returning to his hometown to work as a cultural instructor for Maqiu District Government.
Thanks to an introduction by Xie Ruchang, Wu Yi participated in the social education work team of the Fourth Military Region's Shengming Mountain Base and became the head of its drama department. After the "Three-Five Team" retreated northward, he was recommended by Huang Yuan to work at the Lanxin Grand Theater in Shanghai.
After liberation, Wu Yi attended the First Local Opera Research Class of Shanghai and served as leader of its third team. He then successively held positions as artistic director for various troupes including Minyue Yueju Troupe of Hangzhou, Changjiang Yueju Troupe of Nanjing, and Yueshiju Troupe of Suzhou. In 1955 he was transferred to Nanjing Yueju Theatre Company where he spent many fulfilling years.
Upon retirement from active service in 1989,Wu Yi continued reflecting on his rich life experience that had spanned multiple decades during which he had been involved with both spoken drama and traditional Chinese opera (Yueju). His extensive repertoire included works such as "Put Down Your Whip," adapted from Mao Dun's novel "Midnight,"and Xia Yan's play "The Sadness Within." As a director within Yueju circles,Wu Yi helmed productions like "Dujun Flower"and"Pearls Dripping Like Tears."
Throughout his career,Wu Yi held membership status within China Dramatists Association; concurrently serving as a second-term councilor for Jiangxi Provincial Literature Federation & Cultural Work Committee; fourth-term councilor for Nanchang City People's Congress.
